QFP: Pretty Short
Felt tired and headachy all day. (Headachy is apparently an official word, this surprises me.)

QFP: The Mormons
When I get absorbed into a book, or hand work, or whatever really, I tend to literally tune everything else out. Particularly when I am reading I tend to do this, because unless I do, my comprehension of the material is pathetic. I have a one track mind in the sense that I can only focus on one thing at a time.
With that in mind, I will chillin' in my room this evening, reading, which I have been doing as much as possible while I am not in school, when I heard frantic knocking at my door. I jerked out of my book and leapt (leaped?) to my door. I opened it to a very crazed looking Colleen.
"Go check your e-mail!" she ordered.
I looked at her in bemusement.
She proceeded to explain, in anxious huffs that the doorbell had rung. She and Abi had had the music up fairly loud, so there was little doubt that those standing at our threshold had been aware people were home. By peeking through the windows, they caught a visage of long black skirts, crisp white shirts, and a backpack.
Apparently knowing that such attire meant door to door evangelist for certain, Colleen and Abi hid away. They did not dare come and get me, because you had to pass the front door in order to do so. The only recourse of action they knew, since neither had a cell phone, was to e-mail me saying, "There are/were people at the front door! Save us!"
An e-mail to which I replied, belatedly replied with all contrite maturity, ":p"

QFP: My Little Pony
Out of curiosity and in an attempt for inspiration I Googled (look at me verbing my brand names and nouns) "quick fix." Instead of the plethora of drug abuse photos I thought I was going to get, I mostly got literal quick fixes. For example, a leaky facet, here is a quick fix until you can get a plumber in. Or diet stuff. Not a whole lot of inspiration there. Though I did also find a cute picture of a pony.

QFP: What I Did Today
So here I am again. Day two and still going strong. Let's see. Got up. The treadmill was broken so I vigorously jumped rope this morning instead. Went to work. Came home. Was sad because I read the second Sword Art Online book. Then wrote this thing. Those are the things I did today.

Quick Fix Post
So this is my first official "Quick Fix Post." I have named it that based on a survey consisting of one person, (and no, that one person was not myself.) Maybe I will make a cute, drug themed header for this feature, or something.

Confirmed Rejection never Felt so Good
Hello, and welcome to the umpteenth valiant reboot of my
blog! (I sometimes like to pretend there are actually people reading this,
waiting with bated breath for another post.) As of right now, I have a little
bit more free time than usual. Still working about thirty-two hours minimum a
week, but I am not doing school right now. I’ve also restructured my writing
career. I have carefully calculated and I have come to the conclusion that I
will have just enough time to get into the swing of things before I start
school back up in the fall, for things to become even more hectic when work
becomes busier during tax season. Yep. That is how I do.
Three things, because when there are things there needs to
be at least three of them.
First thing: I am delving heavily into editing right now. I
used to try to write about a page of something random everyday but I am putting
that energy mostly into editing right now. It has piled up, and I actually feel
slightly more motivated to get to it than I have in the past.
Not only am I editing
the book I wrote during Camp NaNoWriMo, The Magic Thief, I am also going to be
making changes to Cycle. There was always one plot point that bothered me and I
have now found a solution. Then I am also going to give the Once Upon a Fairy
Tale series a good look through, particularly the second book. I am also
researching making covers for these books. Since I am doing it more as a hobby
right now and do not have the money to pay for professionals…yeah, I’m working
on it.
P.S. I actually sent in a manuscript to a publishing
company, Tor. It took longer than the six weeks they said were the maximum but
I did eventually get a rejection letter from them. I was actually freaking out that I didn't even warrant a rejection letter so I was relieved when it finally came.
Second thing: Remember “A Thousand Days”? That thing where I
was supposed to write a short entry every day for a thousand days? Remember how
I spectacularly failed? Me too. I am sort of bringing it back. The similarities,
I will attempt to write one short entry each day. The differences, it will not
be for a specific time, and it will be called SnapShots. As in each entry is a “snap
shot” of my day. I may change the name. I actually came up with that now. Other
titles I am considering by coming up with them right this moment are “Daily
Snippets,” “Quick Fix Post,” and “Short & Sour.” I think I’m liking “Quick
Fix Posts,” the most here. If you have an opinion, comment below. (And when I
say opinion I mean in reference to the title of my daily-ish post things. I don’t
want long dissertations on your views about same-sex marriage, abortion, Iran, homeschoolers,
and which political party is slightly less bad than the other.)
Third thing: I have in the pot, cooking, something new and
maybe a little fun. It will be an online internet series called “The Middle of
NoWhere.” In reality it isn’t “cooking.” I’m more just looking at the recipe
and checking to see if I have all the ingredients and supplies I need. I dabble
in plot outlining here and there, but in reality it will be at least a couple
years before it may be a thing. It will be an experiment in fictionalized
reality for me. I won’t post a whole lot about it, in case it is something I am
going to drop, like most of my things, (I am a klutz) but I do want to wet your
curiosity in case it does make like some film and develop.
Well then, until next time.

succeed if you fail, and fail if you succeed?
